It didn't work so I replaced screen again w a working one. So I was trying to get the screen on by moving my hand on screen and pushing the lock and home button. The phone worker bc I could hear Siri but the screen was dead. The best thing I can think is that I replaced the screen once and it was a dead screen. It says coming soon for 4s and 5 but I'm not sure how long is has been saying coming soon. There is software that brings them back without an iTunes backup but not for the 4s. I tried everything possible and can't get them back. The photos are still on the phone bc the space is still full but it is listed as "other" on the storage when plugged into iTunes not as photos. This phone has never been backed up before. I downloaded many different types of software and the only way to get some back is if it has been backed up to iTunes. Because if you had last nights backup, we wouldn't even be discussing this right now. Learn this lesson now and go turn on iCloud backups over WiFi in Settings>iCloud>Backup and Restore. On another note, why not just restore from iCloud backup? Oh, you don't have any backups? **SLAP!** Yes a pain, but hey, you just got your pictures back, no? So until we can find a cause for this issue in the community, you will need to use one of the 3 above mentioned programs and backup / copy / extract all of those photos to a safe place (like into a folder on your desktop), then re-synch them back to your iPhone. when we plugged the customers iPhone into Phoneview, all of his pictures were there. I think you have to pay for both, but anyway. But we bypassed that because we use Phoneview for our data retrieval. Here's how we know.Īs mentioned above, Funbox is a solution. It's just that the camera roll preferences are trashed or screwed up. The customers (or your) photos are still there. And believe me, we are professionals, so I don't know what to make of it.īut here's the good news. We've had this happen to 2 phones in the last few weeks.
